About Brooke
Brooke Aneece Dismuke is a stage-trained actor, singer, and dancer working across theatre, film, and television. Her performance style blends emotional authenticity with sharp comedic instincts, bringing warmth and intelligence to the stories she helps tell.
Her training is deeply rooted in movement, with experience in contemporary, Horton, and West African dance. Brooke further expanded her artistic foundation through the International Association of Blacks in Dance Conference, where she was introduced to a wide range of styles and approaches to performance.
Early in her development as an artist, Brooke had the opportunity to work with Tony Award–winning performer Ben Vereen, who emphasized the importance of living fully in the moment on stage and drawing from life experience to tell truthful stories.
Her first professional booking was as a swing for three queens in Six the Musical aboard Norwegian Cruise Line, where she developed strong adaptability and discipline while performing in a high-energy production.
Brooke has also appeared in several student-led short films, where she began exploring the nuance and intimacy of acting for the camera. She continues to pursue opportunities that expand her work in television and film while building on her foundation in live performance.
When she’s not performing, Brooke enjoys spending time with dogs, listening to music, and indulging her love of fashion — because sometimes discovering a character starts with discovering the look.
Based between New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles, Brooke is passionate about telling stories that connect with audiences both on stage and on screen.
